Simply cycling around
This night was raining and it still the same now. I’ve kept my food next to me this night so I don’t need to move outside :-) I hope the weather will be better in few hours… Fortunately I’ve got something to read : “20000 leagues under the sea” by Jules Vernes. I’ve started with “80 days around the world” and then “Travel to the centre of the earth” and now I’m reading a third one :-)
Hey, finally after one week spend in Queenstown I’ve catch the steamer boat toward Walter Peak. From there I’m going to cycle through the valley until Mavora Lakes. I’m going to test also my new camera :-) I bought a Gopro camera to make different movie style. It’s possible to attach it in many different place and it works even until 60 metres under the see! Cool!
Ben Lomond Peak, we wanted to reach out yesterday with Florian but we were late. Our campsite is so quiet so it’s easy to stay in bed and be lazy until 9:30 :-). This time, today April 15th, we have the time and the motivation :-) So let’s go catch on of the best view of Queenstown and around!
Today starts very well. No clouds and nice colours onto Mt Cook :-) We are going to hike around and then come back to our last spot front of the lake Pukaki.
Hohoo, we just start the morning by a rainbow :-) but it’s slightly raining in this moment. Hope we can move today because we don’t have so much food left.
Finally, we won’t go at the end of the track. At first, we took the road the change and enjoy another scenery. Then we came back by the same path as yesterday toward Anakiwa.
Today, we planed to ride on Queen Charlotte track. It’s a walkway track available for mountain bikers but the last part is actually close for us because of the high tourist season. It’s one of the beautiful track in New Zealand and it’s 4 days by walk for one way and 2 or 3 days by bike with the way back.
