Simply cycling around
I’m on the way to Milford sound today. I let my tent and some stuff to the doc campsite to be as light as possible and make my way up easier. I’m on the top of the first big hill and the next one, to reach the tunnel, is much higher. Should be OK :-)
Ouhaaa! We had a good peaceful night and I could sleep 2 hours more but the boat has to be ready for the next group and they told us that If we stayed longer in the bed they we come and do the bed with us inside! I didn’t want to try so wake up! It’s 7:30 :-)
Here we are! The first day off our Doubtful sound trip :-) it’s going to be amazing! The weather is not to bad and we will pass the night on the boat and we should do some kayaking today or tomorrow :-)
We have just left the “Real Journey” centre with Wenshan where we bought our ticket for one overnight cruise in Doubtful Sound! I’m excited to do that together because it will be certainly a great experience :-). And we are lucky because we are in off season since one week. When I was in Queenstown, I asked the price for one day cruise to for the same place and it was 270$! But then, today we’ve paid 254$ for two! Isn’t that nice? Yes it is! Tickets in our pockets, we are now ready for a visit because the trip is going to start tomorrow morning at ten o’clock. The lake Te Anau looks smooth and quiet this morning.
This night was raining and it still the same now. I’ve kept my food next to me this night so I don’t need to move outside :-) I hope the weather will be better in few hours… Fortunately I’ve got something to read : “20000 leagues under the sea” by Jules Vernes. I’ve started with “80 days around the world” and then “Travel to the centre of the earth” and now I’m reading a third one :-)
Few days ago I’ve got some news of Chih Chi and she was travelling on the west coast toward Queenstown. Finally we found a day to see each other again :-). We met in Napier in north island about three months ago. I’m glad to see you again :-)
Ben Lomond Peak, we wanted to reach out yesterday with Florian but we were late. Our campsite is so quiet so it’s easy to stay in bed and be lazy until 9:30 :-). This time, today April 15th, we have the time and the motivation :-) So let’s go catch on of the best view of Queenstown and around!
