Port Douglas, day off

The place I found yesterday was a good one. Some bird made noise during the night when they walked on the dead crunchy leafs but I prefer that than crocodiles ;-) I’m going to spend a day in Port Douglas because I didn’t wake as early as I wanted and I didn’t visit very well yesterday. As everyday since I arrived in OZ the sky is blue and the temperature warm, nice :-)

Cairns, Reef backpacker hostel

Oooh, this was a long break, I was in blog holiday haha :-) those last days I didn’t do something special. I’m organising my next trip. Australia is so big! I received today my credit card and I’m now waiting for my similar card. But I will come back in Cairns later to get it because I don’t want to stay here and pay a backpacker everyday. I’m leaving up north tomorrow morning. I will make a loop. It looks small on my map but I’m sure it’s like all the north land of NZ haha crazy! On my way I will try to find a job as well. I need a job!
Every morning when I go out and see this wonderful blue sky and feel the 26° degrees in the air I’m happy. It’s sooo cool. I’ve fixed my bike today in a cycle shop next to the hostel. It.was just a check-up to fix some parts. Now I’m ready to ride on crocodiles!

Cairns, another look around

I’m going to stay 6 night in the Reef Backpacker because I must organised my papers. So I’m not going to cycle too much or at least around the city just to have a look and learn like : where can I buy chocolate and coca cola? Where are the public toilet? haha :-) Where is the bank? Where are the bicycle shops? (Very important) Where is the post office? It’s funny because I can feel sometimes like I’m in NZ but every brand or names are new. I need time to get the translation. This place is a part of the esplanade where I came yesterday but on the other side of Cairns.

Auckland, spending money

I know it’s “dangerous” to be in a big city. I mean for my wallet :-) it’s too easy to spend money and I can’t resist front of all those shops, all those Asian restaurants, sushis and whatever…
But at least today I want to go to R&R sport to get a new tire and a chain. I have 10% off for everything I buy in this shop so I prefer to do it here because everybody told me Australia is more expensive. And I will start the country of kangaroos with a pair of new tires. I’ve done more than 8,000 kilometres with only one pair. I bought my first road tires in Auckland last year. Schwalbe, German company, is a good tough brand!
