Simply cycling around
Today (I know it’s not really in live but don’t think about it alright? thanks :-) So today, we are going to live a great adventure in Barron Gorge. When I was in Kuranda 5 or 6 weeks ago, I’ve been to the lookout to see the Barron falls. Now we are gonna be inside with Martin and Marco. here we go!
Today is a day and we just arrived in Kuranda (or around) to visit Marco’s friend. His mother has a kind of house that I like. It’s even not a house but a big shed. Let’s have a short visit because I don’t want to show everything of their privacy.
Today we are visiting Cristal Cascade with Yoko and Marco. It’s not really far from Freshwater. Yesterday I was cycling around with Marco and we swam in a creek. Then Marco told me about that place where we are today. One thing, the water seams to be colder than yesterday but even in winter it’s fine here. or at least, it’s for me because Marco… hahaah :-)
Sunday afternoon, we came back to smithfield again because today there is a downhill event. I’m not sure but I think it’s organisated by a mountain bike club and anybody with can participate. They provide lifts to reach thetop of the track. This is cool but the level is too high for me so wathching is enough.
Today, Sunday, Martin proposed to have a look to a “motor park” where a kind of competition is running. Marco would prefer to ride but it’s not for today :-)
Hooo! This is a BIG spider with its baby! It’s standing in a palm tree right next to the main door of Martin and Yoko’s house. The size with the legs is like 10 cm wide! Apparently it’s not a dangerous one but I hope it won’t come in my tent… brr! OK let’s change the subject. Today I’m coming with Martin and Marco to a downhill track. I expect to do this since more than 15 years maybe and finally now, in Australia, Cairns, it’s going to happens! I will enjoy that :-)
And one more wild camping. I feel like it’s a bit more easier than New Zealand or maybe a get used to it. Today I’m going to find a job! Or at least I’m starting seriously my research. When I was in Port Douglas a guy told me to try around Lakeland. That’s the part of the reason why I decided to go to Cooktown and then Laura : to make a big loop and pass through every cities where I could have the chance to find some work. Let’s go!
