Today I’m coming back to Cairns. After 2 weeks riding around I’m going to get my tax file number and find a work somewhere. Maybe I will come back later to Mareeba because the office was close yesterday and it the same today. Right we are Sunday…
Simply cycling around
This time I’m continuing my trip. My first loop in Australia is almost finished but I’m looking to the general map it’s like I’ve nothing! I’ve realised that today is Saturday and I’m not sure everything will be open. Especially a place where we can subscribe to find a job. I think I will continue towards Cairns get my phone card plus my tax file number and then come back to Mareeba. Could be the best plan.
Today is relaxing day :-) I’m not doing anything special, just reading, playing guitar, eating… That’s it. The weather is unstable and it’s better to wait until tomorrow. Many campervan left the place this morning because we can’t stay more than 48 hours here. There is some birds around I never seen before.
As everytime, more I am in a place lost in a middle of nowhere and more I sleep well. There is only one road so the traffic is really quiet during the night. The wind is not really strong now, it’s fine. I have “only” 50km to do and I will get tumor the free campsite and enjoy a free cold shower, nice :-)
Hey, I had a good night in this place surrounded by Cow poo :-) Today I know I will certainly must fight the wind again but I don’t have any choice. And I hop today I will enjoy some downhill because tomorrow I felt like I was going only uphill… it’s okay but sometimes go down it’s nice :-) I’m going to see that :-)
And one more wild camping. I feel like it’s a bit more easier than New Zealand or maybe a get used to it. Today I’m going to find a job! Or at least I’m starting seriously my research. When I was in Port Douglas a guy told me to try around Lakeland. That’s the part of the reason why I decided to go to Cooktown and then Laura : to make a big loop and pass through every cities where I could have the chance to find some work. Let’s go!
Fouaaa! That was one of my best night! I slept very well and of course it was more than quiet haha. I didn’t hear any snakes, crocodiles are other dangerous spiders, just a car around 5:30 am. Nobody stopped to tell me I’m not allowed to camp here. Perfect! One more free camping! :-) Since I quit Cairns I’ve never been in any campsite yet, record!
