Mt Molloy free camp site > Mareeba (49km, 2h35)

This time I’m continuing my trip. My first loop in Australia is almost finished but I’m looking to the general map it’s like I’ve nothing! I’ve realised that today is Saturday and I’m not sure everything will be open. Especially a place where we can subscribe to find a job. I think I will continue towards Cairns get my phone card plus my tax file number and then come back to Mareeba. Could be the best plan.

Map.

So I’m ready. Nobody could notice where I put my tent :-)

On the road again! Mareeba belongs to the tableland. Its high is around 400 metres and it’s quite flat. But the wind is still blowing from the south east so it’s front of me… bloody wind!

Few minutes ago the rain started and I didn’t put my rainy stuff because I knew like five minutes later the sun come. Fortunately I was right and I’m now drying :-)

But there is still plenty of clouds around.

Finally Mareeba! 300 days of sun. OK I’m enjoying the rest : 65 days of rain.

I’m coming along the main street now.

Effectively it’s Saturday and many shops are close.

I’m having a look around to find my spot for tonight.

And I think I found it :-)

This afternoon, I bought some food, too much and came in this park to write and watch some good skateboarders. I will come back later to my spot and have a good sleep :-) see ya!
