Simply cycling around
This is a new week, the fifth one :-) Now we wake up every day at 6:30 am to appreciate the low temperatures and every day we can watch the kangaroos coming around the house to eat some fresh grass. We tried last time to give them some bread because Keith said they like it but they paid no attention at all!
As the last 3 weekends in the property I’m spending my time working on my blog. I make a new version which fits multi size screens (a mobile version for Max). Around mid day, Sue Informed us that she was going to Lismore. I hesitated to go but it’s good to have a break.
After Walking around the empty city and having a drink offered by Jamie (thanks man :-) We went swimming with Vilma for a short hour. I expected to swim every weekend but it’s finally only the second time I do it. Then I came back front of the computer to work on my blog… again. Simple weekend.
I took the picture too late but it’s still a mess (bordel) so it’s ok haha :-) The wood actually standing on the light grey container was on the floor and there was dozen of “swimming pool tiles” (carrelage de piscine). I’ll take a picture when everything will be clean and tidy and you will see the HUGE difference. We are the “Cleaners” : three backpackers, one goal for a wonderful result! haha ;-)
Since monday we decided with Vilma and Jamie to work earlier. It’s very hot during the day now and we try to avoid (eviter) the sun as much as possible. On Monday we started working at 9am. Then, Tuesday we started 8am and since Wednesdaywe start at 7am. We catch the sunrise every day and we can enjoy fresh mornings, work until 11am or a bit more. Then we make a long lunch-break until 4 or 5pm and we work until 6:30pm. It’s working well :-)
Today is again a colorful day, different jobs, different skills, different experience. We are three and there is still work for all of us. We even save the life of an unlucky frog, crazy! haha ;-)
Today, weekend, a new wwoofer is joining us. Vilma from Finland :-) She gonna stay 2 weeks and she doesn’t seem to want to quit like the Estonian couple and the French guy. And we are even four wwoofers because this big lizard came inside the house somehow. He is stuck front of the window and of course doesn’t understand why? It’s only a lezard… It finally came back towards the kitchen and we chased him/her outside.
Finally! After three weeks spending in the region (yes, already) it’s… raining! On one hand it’s very good because the water tanks gets feel. On the other hand, it’s less fun because the solar panel doesn’t charge a lot haha. It started rainy this night and the current stopped during the night like every time actually. Seems like we use too much power or the electric system is not strong enough. Sue and Keith have lots of electric stuff here so I’m not surprise. Just an example : Three fridge and two freezer working (at least try) 24/7.
