Today, I’m going to cycle towards Watson bay, a place situated at the end of a peninsula. The weather is perfect for a ride so let’s do it!
Simply cycling around
I’ve got some stuff to buy to fix my bike and I couldn’t find anything online. Finally I discover a shop in North Sydney which has everything I need. The road is surprisingly “green” as I thought I would cycle only along main roads surrounded by noise cars and buildings. There is a lot a cycle path crossing parks, this is really enjoyable.
After 5 months spent with Robin and other flatmates I moved recently in that new share house in Darlinghurst. It’s situated really close to the city centre. We are ten (5 girls, 5 guys) but the house is big and we don’t feel we live on each other. One of the first thing I’ve noticed was that this house is very nice but a bit dirty for me. Lucky them, I like cleaning :-) I’ve spent my first weekend cleaning the kitchen and the two bathrooms. Now I feel better :-)
As usual, I like repairing stuff by myself because it’s more interesting, cheap and when it success I feel great. We are three cyclist at work and Matt lent me some tool. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find the chain whip to hold the cassette so I had to find some other solutions. The goal is to lock the cassette to be able to unscrew the nut. I’ve decided to use zip ties (cerclips) but untight the cassette requires quite a lot of power and my tiny zip ties broke very easely. The first attempt is a fail…
I’m today in Paddington to change the lens of my glasses. I must wait an hour so I decided to visit around. Paddington is, I think, a rich area. There is not any hight building, only houses. It’s situated on a hill, a perfect place to set up a Reservoir and supply water for a part of Sydney. Let’s have a look!
