Nice day today, I’ve been in the water most of the time and with that heat it’s very nice. Litchfield park is a touristy place so naturally there is lots of people around but it’s always possible to find a time when there is not hundred of us in the same spot. I’ve visited Florence Falls as well which is nice and then when back to Buley Rockhole to camp for the night.

Thermal Pool > Mataranka > Bitter Springs > Elsey National Park (36km, 2h35)

Second day spending in Mataranka and second day swimming in nice warm waters. That’s holidays :-) This time I’ve been to “Bitter Springs” another spot on the other side of Mataranka and still in the Elsey National Park. I’ve tried to go early the morning to avoid the crowd and actually it was good. I could see turtles!

Watarrka > Alice Springs (by bus)

Third and last day of this very nice Emu Run Tour. As usual, we moved at 6am from the campsite and drove directly to Watarrka (Kings Canyon). We did the 3 hours ring walk which is again, different from Uluru and Taka Tjuta. There is about 500 steps to start then we stay onto the top almost all the time. That way we enjoy the view of the landscape several times. Finally we drove back to Alice Springs where I will spend another night in the backpacker and get my stuff back.

Alice Springs > Uluru (by bus)

Because I’m waiting for my new hub and new credit card to come, I’ve booked a three days tour to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Taka Tjuta (the Olgas), and Watarrka (Kings Canyon). That way, I keep visiting around even if I would love to cycle their. That tour is good because it includes everything: Accommodation, luggage storage and food. We also camp under the stars in swags and light a fire each night. Let’s start the visit!
