Simply cycling around
The cheapest flight we have found to go to Borneo is leaving early morning. This is why we decided to go to the airport tonight and sleep there. At first, we planned to catch the train from Ampang and take a second one at some point but Amir offered us to drive us at another station so that way we did not have to hop on two trains. Thanks for this :-) The train cost 6.30Ringgit to get to KL Sentral.
Third point of view of the Petronas towers (it might be the last one for me because I get a bit tired of taking the same thing since 3 days). Tonight we got to the Menara Tower but this view is not free of charge… 52Ringgit to get to the first floor behind windows or 104Ringgit to reach the rooftop. Seriously?! That’s a bit super expensive for just a view on a concrete jungle… Naturally the top floor must be very nice but well… That’s out of our budget…
Second night spent in the city. Stephane made some research about the best view in KL and one of them is the lake view. So we took our respective camera and cycled their. The weather is still very dry tonight, lucky us!
After a rest day in Ampang, we decided to cycle to the city centre again and catch some shots of the petronas towers. They are actually very photogenic. It’s kind of hard to miss a shot. If you expect to see something else than the towers don’t click on this post haha :-)
Today we are going to reach KL (Kuala Lumpur) on a wet ride. In fact, the rain started this morning during breakfast with Sabariah and Amir’s family. We waited a bit for the heavy rain and finally got on the road again. Amir offered us to contact him once in KL as he will be at work. Let’s do that :-) He also told us that we could visit Putrajaya on the way. That’s a detour for us but not that bad. Putrajaya is the administrative center, a kind of town designed from scratch. Actually it’s like Canberra in Australia. There is big modern buildings, fancy bridges, clean roads and not much people around. We like it or not, this is Putrajaya.
Second day on our way to Kuala Lumpur. We’ve started really early this morning to make sure we would avoid most of the heat. The first part of the day was hot and a bit hilly and the second part was rainy and more hilly ;-) Lucky us, as we were searching a place where to camp, we met Amir, Sabariah and their family with who we had a great time.
Youhou! here we are, finally back on the road. The road is a little hilly today but nothing really hard. We have seen some more monkeys along the road and as usual they are harmless. We left a bit later than we wanted to (around 8am), stopped for lunch at a small warung, had a 3 hours nap next to a beach and finally found a spot next to another beach where we spent the night. Kind of easy day today :-)
