Simply cycling around
I have still no job and I visit most of the pace around. I’m not saving money and I’m getting worried about the job because Tony, the backpackers owner, can’t promise us a day to start. Maybe I should continue my trip… Fortunately, everybody is nice here and I’m learning how to cook many different things. So today is muffins time :-) I wanted to realise the same as Maila but they didn’t rise. Doesn’t matter, they are good :-)
Today is a sporting day. Wake up around 7.30am we are going to visit Cap Kidnappers with Rob, Christian and a last minute guest, Julia. We will go by bike with Rob during Christian will hitch hikin because he doesn’t like the free bike of our backpacker.
Today is a sunny day and the French team decide playing “pétanque” amnd someone is playing piano in the house : the song is “Amélie Poulain”. OK, we are no longer in New Zealand now…
Actually, everybody is cooking all the time here :-) We make pizzas, pasta, bread, cakes, everything! It’s nice and we share our recipes and impression. So today, I’ve time and I would like to make some bread :-)
Nothing special today so I spend my money :-). My second tripod is already broken and it’s annoying! I wanted to buy another one, a bigger one but the price froze me… 99$ for the plastic model and 170$ for the metal one. Rah! It’s pain to the ass! Finally I’ve decided to buy this one for 35$ :-). It’s certainly stronger than my old gorilla pod but I can’t attach my camera everywhere now.
Today is still rainy, cloudy and blablabla. I finally decided to stay here until the work starts. Apple seeding should starts at the end of the week. If I work, I’m going to stay in Napier until the end of December end then I will travelling without working anymore. On the one hand, I would like to be sure I will have enough time to visit the south island but on the other hand without money it won’t be so fun because at least I would like surfing, come back in some hut around and more! Stay or leave? Difficult choice! Napier is a good city, not to big with good design and the ocean is not so far :-) I like that. But since few days, clouds are stuck above our heads and we feel like in winter brrrrr!
Today, there is nothing to do… it’s raining and I’m getting bored… I finally decided to go out, visit the city again and try to take some rainy pictures.
