Alice Springs, Vietnamese restaurant with the Team!

I call them “the Team” as a shortcut but their real name (from left to right) are Charles (who joined yesterday), John and Susan, Neil, Kate and Graham. Their adventure is really well prepared. It took them about 6 months to make it happen! They all come from Sydney area and know each other since school. They are going to travel together for a period of one months, if I correctly remember. Neil, the most experienced, obtained the different pass to cross the aboriginal lands when needed, choose/propose the roads they will use to reach the places they want to visit. They’ve got a lot to see! Lots of bush camp, lots of kilometres, guys, enjoy! I’m sure you will :-)

Alice Springs, fixing stuff around

DSCF8282

Well, today is not the nicest day as I’ve done some paperwork and organisation. I’ve been to the bank to find out why my money disappeared. The woman told me to call the fraud service which I did. They cancelled my debit card and will track how this money disappeared. Then I’ve been to the Tax Office to see if everything was ok as I did an amendment 6 weeks ago to modify something on my tax lodge. It took me one second to make this mistake and 2 month to correct it. Governments are the same everywhere… Fortunately everything is in order now.
Finally I went to the bicycle shop to see the guy who will receive my parcel from France. He is a nice guy and will call me when he will get it :-) All is in order now, I can come back to the campsite and enjoy some free time. Tomorrow I will come back to the bank first, book a tour to Uluru and Kings Canyon and will visit Alice the rest of the day. See ya!

Step, Adelaide > Alice Springs (731km + 804km by car)

A lot of surprise happened during this trip. Some good new and some bad news. I met many nice people like Joy & Graham, Matt and his girlfriend, The Team (Kate & Graham, Neil, Sue & John,  Charles). I had a problem with my trailer wheel’s hub. Then I’ve stayed in Alice Springs a bit longer than expected, waiting for my new hub to arrive.

Today is another great day :-) Well, I’ve got some trouble with my bike but this is not the end of the world though. This is the third day I’m travelling with Neil, Graham, Kate, John and Sue and it has been wonderful so far. We crossed the border from South Australia to the Northern Territory this morning so I’ve been visiting 4 states in Australia until now. From now the rain might be really rare because of the start of the dry season. The last obstacle will be the wind. Neil travelled a lot in Australia from what I’ve heard and he said, each time he drove on the Stuart Highway he got headwind. The adventure goes on :-)
