Simply cycling around
Yes the sun came back and it’s a nice warm day :-) Today I’m going to reach the departure of the “whitecliffs walkway” I want to pass through that one tomorrow and avoid 30km of the main road. I want to stick as much as possible to the sea because the main road is going inland almost all the way until Auckland. It’s maybe shorter but I have enough time to choose a side trip. Let’s go!

The south part of north island is definitively the worst. Then from Taranaki it becomes nice again.
Today is not a good day for taking pictures and I didn’t. This morning I hesitated between moving or not. It was raining a bit but the main thing was the wind! And I didn’t realised at the beginning because the place I chose yesterday was sheltered. I understood that went I reach the road. Fortunately the distance was shorter than I expected and 38 km under the rain is enough!
Hey, today I’m going to turn around Mount Taranaki and I will stop certainly before New Plymouth. It’s too far to do it in one day. But I’ve time so it’s OK. On gonna get my backpack I forgot in the bus yesterday and then I will be ready to start this day.
That’s one of the worst night I ever have, thank you north island. I was slipping all the night so it was difficult to sleep well. And then, after the children left for the second time, some other guys came with a motorbike (I’m not sure) and played in the playground. Fortunately they didn’t see me and I didn’t hear them left the park. Anyway, today is Christmas because I’m going to get my parcel from France. I hope it’s standing where I think and I won’t have bad surprise.

Today is the day. The day I quit definitively south island to come back to the north. The weather is fantastic and I hope it will be still the same up there and a bit warmer because this morning… glaglagla!
