Today I’m working but this time is for john. He wants to change the little fence around the flowers and we use the wood from his old veranda. Recycling again!

Upper Mongogarie, the hale storm came back again
For the third time now, the hale is coming back. The “ice cubes” are not as big as last time but there is lots more! They hit the plastic and metal roof of the house with a amazing speed and the noise is surrealist! Bing bang bong bang BING!!! Crazy! But it’s weekend so, relaaax, cool man! is it summer? winter? I’m lost now but coool…
Mt Molloy free camp site, day off
Today is relaxing day :-) I’m not doing anything special, just reading, playing guitar, eating… That’s it. The weather is unstable and it’s better to wait until tomorrow. Many campervan left the place this morning because we can’t stay more than 48 hours here. There is some birds around I never seen before.
Auckland international airport, rainy day off
Pff! What a bloody day… it’s rainy and windy and I’m not really on a good place. Yesterday I quit the airport a bit late so it was already dark outside. But when I came during the afternoon I saw a place. So I came back there and I found a field. The grass was really high, something like 60 centimetres and wet. And I had to carry my bike up to a broken fence. It’s not the ideal place for a rainy day. Then the wind started and the outside protection entered in contact with the inner layer. So the water came in. Fortunately I realised this soon end I found a solution : I disassembled the inner layer from the outside and laid down on it. A picture could be more clear but I didn’t take anything… What can I do now? Reading of course:-) I finished 20000 league under the sea and started a new book. “Le village flottant” from Jules Verne’s again. I like those imaginative Roman and I’m going to read all the books :-) This one is in French and I should find it in English. Finally today was another kind of adventure ;-) Tomorrow, Auckland city centre, normally…
Marahau, rainy day off, again…
Pfiouuu! I hope that rain is going to disappear soon… Now it’s better so I took the occasion to go out and have a walk. It was raining almost all the night and all the morning. I don’t have so much food left and no water… I don’t like that. I’m going the the city centre, if there is one, to buy some pasta so I could survive until tomorrow if it’s still raining :-)
Takaka, rainy day off
Foua! It rained during all the night and it still the same today. I wanted to take a day off, I have it sure! There is even thunder, the first time I see that since I’m here. The rain becomes heavier and heavier every minute and I’m wondering how many hours my tent will stand up… And tonight, I’m going to sleep in it again, surrounded by all the water and mud. Aïe Aïe Aïe!
Hokitika, bloggy day off
I did not anticipate to stay a second day in Hokitika but I’ve decided to fix my bike now finally. The guy from the cycle shop ordered the items yesterday and once he will receive them I will get a new bike. Now, I know for sure I have to work in Australia to pay that back :-)
