Nopparat Thara beach, visit

DSCF7202

Nopparat Thara beach is the neighbour of Ao Nang beach. This place is not as busy, has less tourists shops and many more cheaper place where to enjoy Thai food. On the beach, during low tide, there is thousand of tiny crustaceans that we don’t even notice at first. This is not why we came here but that took most of my attention until the end of the day.

Phetkasem road > Krabi area (52km, 3h)

DSCF7017

Today we are going to reach Krabi and visit a temple positioned onto the summit of a rock. The temple is called “Tiger Cave temple”. The name comes from the tiger paw prints that a monk found here. Actually, we never seen that cave… Only the summit and the sunset. After that, we kept cycling towards Ao Nang beach which is the place from where we can visit different islands around. My 10$ budget will be hardly respected.

Satun > Thung Yao village (105km, 6h)

DSCF6868

First full day cycling in Thailand :-) The first big place with lots of activities to do and lots of things to see will be Krabi. For now we did not expect to spend too much money. We were lucky to discover there was a waterfall to visit and for free. It was a bit a detour from our main direction but the road was definitively much nicer. Let’s start the visit!

Kuah > Pentai Cenang (38km, 2h25)

DSCF6518

First day in Langkawi. From what I’ve heard until today, this island is the first tourist destination in Malaysia. That’s what I’m afroad of… Personally, I prefer Borneo with its adventurous side. Touristy places means to me, higher prices for anything, especially food in my case. I did not plan to go there at first but like Penang, everyone is talking about it. Even the Malay family we met in Kuala Lumpur, Amir told us about this island many times. Our goal is to find as much free things as possible. Fortunately, there is some like watching Parachutes, jungle walks, waterfall and cycling around the island :-)

Penang, Chinatown, second visit

DSCF6395

We did not see everything in Chinatown yesterday so we have a second round today. We have visited more Chinese temple, seen more street art and walk too much! Yes, I prefer cycling than walking. This is much easier :-) Tonight is the last day of 2015. We planned to see the fireworks. We saw it but not in the best conditions. Finally, this is when we returned to our campsite that the night really started. Always no plan is the best one :-) That worked for 2015 and it’s going to work in 2016, for sure! Happy New Year!
