Simply cycling around
Ben Lomond Peak, we wanted to reach out yesterday with Florian but we were late. Our campsite is so quiet so it’s easy to stay in bed and be lazy until 9:30 :-). This time, today April 15th, we have the time and the motivation :-) So let’s go catch on of the best view of Queenstown and around!
This morning I’ve met Florian, a nice French guy, and we are going to watch an event I like very much :-) “big BMX tricks”! This week, there is a special event everyday. There is some downhill competition and also cross country tour and other things I don’t remember. It’s nice to be here just at the right time :-)
One more time, one more good and peaceful night :-) Yesterday night, when I came back to that place, I met two guys. A girl from Sweden and a guy from Canada. We found the same good spot for the night. And then later, a car came up and parked itself behind us in the shadows. But no police or some rangers here, perfect :-)
Wouhaooo! Today the weather is still beautiful. Who said it’s raining everyday around west coast? Maybe I’m so lucky and that’s a good thing :-) So, I don’t want to leave Glernochy without having a visit around! And to start, I discovered a loop track next to the village, nice :-)
Fouaaah… I had a really good quiet night on the private beach :-) And the day starts with the sun, the water’s color is so clear! Looks so pure! Early this morning, it’s was raining and I think I won’t catch the boat today because I need one day to reach Mavora lakes and another one for The Anau. Between those points I will be surrounded only by mountains. So… I don’t know… It’s already 10am…
Fiou! This campsite was awesome! Perfect! Today I’m still gonna ride on the 1.000.000$ trail because it’s nice and so expensive haha :-) I will arrive this afternoon in Queenstown the city where it’s so easy to spend your money. I have to be careful and aware. I will see!
Et c’est parti! After 5 days of work I’m back onto the road with motivation! I’m heading west toward Queenstown where I’m going to catch a steam boat. On my way I want to pass through Arrowtown and ride off road as often as possible. I’m gonna try my new saddle “Brooks B17 select”. I feel already better on that one than onto the original, it’s great, let’s go :-)
