And one more wild camping. I feel like it’s a bit more easier than New Zealand or maybe a get used to it. Today I’m going to find a job! Or at least I’m starting seriously my research. When I was in Port Douglas a guy told me to try around Lakeland. That’s the part of the reason why I decided to go to Cooktown and then Laura : to make a big loop and pass through every cities where I could have the chance to find some work. Let’s go!

Cooktown > Battle Camp Station (94km, 6h20)

Here we go! I was hesitating between riding back onto the Mulligan highway towards Lakeland but I’ve finally decided to do the road joining Laura. One more time, I’m extending my trip :-) Yesterday in the information center I’ve met somebody more interesting than Friday. The woman was a volunteer and she gave me much more details about the road I’m going to take. She indicated me where I can find water. This area is not really dangerous (about animals) but there is many cars. It’s okay.

Somewhere after Ayton > Cooktown (48km, 3h)

Today, direction Cooktown! Finally after all these questions I asked to myself, I’ve almost done everything I wanted. And it’s good because I won’t regret anything. Normally the road should be easier than yesterday. Since the different villages I’ve passed yesterday, the road was already easier and it’s normal I think because they need an easy access to carry bigger things. So I’m positive and hope I won’t have to push my bike as long as yesterday. I even pushed more than one year in NZ. Who said OZ is flat?
