I slept at in same spot as yesterday which is close to the city centre and kind of hidden enough. Fortunately, I did not account any problem :-)

Hokitika, bloggy day off
I did not anticipate to stay a second day in Hokitika but I’ve decided to fix my bike now finally. The guy from the cycle shop ordered the items yesterday and once he will receive them I will get a new bike. Now, I know for sure I have to work in Australia to pay that back :-)
Lake Mahinapua > Hokitika (12km, 40min)
This morning I woke up without alarm. I took my time but it was still early the morning. I hesitated between staying or leaving but finally I’m on my bike. I have to get a letter from the posts office. The dentist from Invercargill sent me the paper I need for my insurance. I would like to reach Greymouth today and spend part of the day tomorrow in the city. I will go to the library as well.
Whataroa > lake Mahinapua (90km, 5h05)
That’s another sunny day today and I’m going to the next lake, around 85km from here. It’s maybe a bad idea to look for every lake because of the mosquitos or sand-flies but I don’t know why, I need water. I feel good close to water, that’s it :-)
Fox glacier > Franz Joseph > Whataroa (68km, 4h10)
The west coast is like this : one day rain, one day sun, one day rain… But now, it’s a second day with sun! So I will have 2 days of rain later maybe… I will see. I’m going to start that day with 3 big hills to reach Franz Josef on the other side of that. Then it should be quite flat for the rest of the day.
Fox glacier, visit around (19km, 1h)
It’s a wonderful day today and I can’t stay more inside. I will finish to update my blog later because now I want to visit two places : The glacier and lake Mathewson from where we are able to see Aoraki/Mt Cook. It s a long time now, I’ve seen the highest mountain of south island :-) And it’s a good opportunity as well :-) let’s go!
Fox glacier, bloggy rainy day off
I didn’t take any pictures today because it was raining all the day. That’s the pictures of tomorrow which present the backpack. Tomorrow is sunny! I spent all my day front of the screen. I had to pay for internet (5$ > 24h). So, when I pay, I use it! And I went to bed at 4am because I would like to update all my posts until today before I leave Fox glacier. At least, I will try. So that’s the backpacker where I’m staying now. It’s a lovely place :-)
