Simply cycling around
Hey! Today is the day to reach the highest non volcanic mountain of the north island. I finally decided to go by bike because John, a Maila ‘s friend, told me that it was possible to ride there. It’s a long trip to arrive up there because the road is going slightly up.
This morning I should be ready to go to Hikurangi mountain but the wind and the clouds are coming and it’s not a good idea to be up there alone with this kind of weather. So today, I’m repairing the bikes of Ramiro and Caila because it’s a long time they didn’t see oil :-) I hope I could go tomorrow.
Today I’m going to plan my trip to the mount Hikurangi for tomorrow. I’m going to start one night in the hut :-) . Maila will bring me to the bottom before her work. She also recommend to visit the forest next to the city where we have a beautiful view from the top. So, that’s my plan for today :-)
5:50am, my alarm is ringing because I want to see the sunrise this morning and take the best pictures I can. I will be the first (with some islands like Fiji) to see the first light of the sun today. It’s not happening everywhere in the world and I want to see that! Hurry up the sun won’t wait for me and there is 700 steps between me and the top!

Today, I should reach another end point of New Zealand, the East cape! There is a light house (normal) and I hope I could go next to it like Cape Reinga :-)
Today the weather is better for a cyclist like me :-) so I’m continuing turning around New Zealand and Gisborne region precisely. There is no mobile coverage here and it’s better for me. Maybe I will arrive to disconnect myself this time :-) maybe…
