Mittraphap Road > Kaeng Khoi (66km)

I could have had a nice sleep last night… Bloody dogs! This morning I’ve started a bit earlier than normally to make sure nobody would see me so this night was even shorter. I was only 10km away from my next stop so the morning ride was really short as well. Later this afternoon, I’ve done more than 50km as I was going mainly downhill. I arrived at Kaeng Khoi and found a spot in a large bare field where people organise a market.

To make sure I was not going to see the workers coming this morning at the under construction house I left at 5:30am. I hope the next night will be better because I feel pretty tired now. That’s not always easy but this is adventure :-)

That’s breakfast time :-) Chicken with basil plus rice and fried egg.

Finally, I’m back on the road for another highway session.

The traffic is dense but I’ve got a lot of space on the side way so that’s fine.

Look at the size of these advertisement signs. Huge!

Looking at the elevation I understand why I was so fast this evening and did more kilometres than expected or at least in a shorter time. Once I arrived in Kaeng Khoi, I realised I was already where I planned to arrive tomorrow morning. I passed the Amazon Cafe, my next checkpoint! :-) I’ve decided to find a spot nearby for the night and will come back to the Cafe tomorrow morning.

As I was cycling towards the town, so many dogs barked at me. Essentially they are pursuing the trailer more than anything else. Maybe they just want to protect me from that trailer which follows me very closely? No, I doubt that :-) They just attack anything they can.

Few kilometres later, I found a large area with few shelter here and there. Looking at it, I knew this area is used for markets. After a quick look around, I didn’t find something better so I set up my hammock underneath one of the available roof (some people slept here too) and crossed my finger that tomorrow morning I won’t be surrounded by a thousand people selling fish and other stuff!

  1. Je ne sais pas comment font les cuistots asiates pour faire les oeufs au plat, mais c’est drôlement joli en tous cas. Tu peux te renseigner s’te plait ?
