Mavora lakes, day off (13km, 1h10)

This night was raining and it still the same now. I’ve kept my food next to me this night so I don’t need to move outside :-) I hope the weather will be better in few hours… Fortunately I’ve got something to read : “20000 leagues under the sea” by Jules Vernes. I’ve started with “80 days around the world” and then “Travel to the centre of the earth” and now I’m reading a third one :-)

Queenstown > Mavora Lakes (60km, 4h20)

Hey, finally after one week spend in Queenstown I’ve catch the steamer boat toward Walter Peak. From there I’m going to cycle through the valley until Mavora Lakes. I’m going to test also my new camera :-) I bought a Gopro camera to make different movie style. It’s possible to attach it in many different place and it works even until 60 metres under the see! Cool!

Catlins, first day

Here we go! It’s Friday but we have day off. The season is reaching the end and there is not enough work for everyday. Lindsey, a guy we are working with proposed to lend us his car, that’s a good opportunity to visit around. We decided to have a look in the Catlins, the south east coast. The reputation of this place is rain so it’s better (maybe) to do it by car even if I would prefer to ride it… We start the trip by a hilly road surrounded by a dry landscape.
