Nice travel today with some visit around. Cold during the morning and a bit of gravel road at the end. This day is a nice one except the wind which is still a head one.

This day was a tough day and my legs will remindme it tomorrow. I’ve early the morning and cycle 7h, not in one shot of course but well, it’s one of my longest day ever if not the longest since I’ve been cycling around. The weather was very pleasant except the wind which was from the west all the way. Plus there was some dirt road but the quality was very good apart some few corogation, nothing dramatic. Let’s start from the beginning :-)
Nowra > Braidwood road (73km, 5h40)
It’s 7am and I’m nearly ready. I’ve return at the same spot as yesterday night and even with all this rain yesterday the ground was fine. Today I will visit Jervis bay and then cycle inland toward Branwood.
Nowra, rainy day off…
Okay, so this morning 5am, the rain has started. Few drops on my tent woke me up and it was hard. Hard to wake up! But I did not want to pack my stuff under the rain and have all my gear wet for days so I did it. Well, now it’s 5:20am and I’m on the street haha :-) This is a Funny day, no it’s not haha. Adventure again! I found the library with a bench under cover which is a good start. At least I can get some breakfast and think about the next step :-)
Woolongong > Nowra (82km, 4h45)
After two days of rain this is a perfect day. It was cloudy most of the time and I had tailwind 90% of the time. Too easy :-) I’ve stopped for lunch in Kiama (picture above) which is a nice place. Lots of tourists though.
Austinmer > Woolongong (20km, 1h30)
Today is a short trip. I gave too much yesterday haha. Nah nah, infact, I’m gonna met Wendy at Wollongong. She is work here temporary so I just the right opportunity to see each other again. The weather today cloudy with showers every 30min but I won’t cycle 5 hours today so that’s fine.
Newtown > Austinmer (70km, 4h40)
Hey, this is THE day. After a lot of hesitations, a lot of research on google maps and different blogs I have chosen the east coast. It was my original plan until I met Martin in Cairns who gave me another idea. I’ve never thought about going west and suddenly I got completely mixed in my mind. No one fault, I’d love to do both but I’ve got not enough time. It’s 10am and I’m finally ready to cycle again. But before we need pictures and souvenir of this great year (almost) in Sydney. For the first time Robin is front of the camera, and bunny as usual ;-)
