After the hammock, today I’ve set up my tarp still made by Warbonnet. I don’t have much place si it was tricky to set it up properly. Actually I did it wrong because the “doors” should be crossed. Anyway, I especially wanted to cut the thread at the right lenght so it will be ready the day I will need it.
Inside there is a lot of space.
On each side I can use a stick to tense the tar perpendicularly.
A simple node that is very easy to undo.
The other side.
I had to find out how to pitch a peg in water :-) That is my solution.
Normally the tarp should be higher.
The “inside of my tent fits in.
I’ve through away the “outside” because it was not waterproof anymore. I’ve tried spray, washing machine with special waterproof product but it did not work.
As I try to minimise the number of accessories, I’ve replaced the back rope with the tent’s bag.
Why did I keep the inside of my tent? In case I couldn’t find any tree. I can set up my hammock on the ground but I need a footprint so the inside is still useful.
Later on I tried to set up the tarp without any tree as well and this is where the problem stated. I needed two poles. I’ve used my bike on one side and the longest pole provided with the hammock. It was working but this time it was too low for my tent. Finally I took a pair of scissors and cut my tent to keep only the footprint. That way I’m able to fit the hammock underneath the tarp and on the ground sheat made with my old tent. Now I can sleep anywhere and under any circonstances :-)
Ouh là, explications un peu compliquées pour ma petite tête ! Pas tout compris, mais je te fais confiance tu as l’air de savoir ce que tu fais et ce dont tu parles !
Now any weather OK with you. It looks very private from inside. :-)
