Hello, after a great time with Karen, Jeff, Jack and Koby I’m gonna leave this morning to continue my trip towards Sydney, well firstly towards Coffs Harbour.
Map.

The koby dance. Is it for calling the rain?

They have many chicken and they are all free. The house is along the main road but apparently they have no trouble with that. Just the predators around come sometimes and catch one but it’s nature. Karen and Jeff let it doing its job.

Blur picture… this new chicken was born last night!

Koby likes spors. He is 6 years old and play basket, ride a bmx, practice skateboard and of course surf! He’s got many medals. A future champion is on stage :-D

Crazy little boy. Everyday he wakes up at 5:30am and with so much energy.

Yes crazy haha ;-)

I had a great time, really. I could easily stay more but I started cycling two days ago and the road attracts me.

Bye bye! See you another day maybe :-)

Effectively the bridge wasn’t too far. I’m gonna turn right and quit the highway soon!

This is clarence river, a big one :-)

haha :-D This family put their house out of the ground. I hope they will add a terrace around, later because the doors, like this, it’s a bit dangerous, isn’t it?

I’m now in Mc clean, a nice town where every single electric pylon are decorated with paint. Aboriginal style? I’m not sure.

Right on the street we can enjoy the river side.

On the left side the post office. On the background a small harbour apparently.

Hibiscus but a tree! Wonderful!

I was on my way when I’ve seen a panel which indicated “lookout 2km”. I knew the road was steep because I could see it but I’m sure the view will be fantastic especially with this weather. I must push my bike but I won’t regret :-)

Wow! This is a great view!

Panoramix ;-)

Aboriginal art representing the region.

Hey :-)

A last shot and I’m going back.

Oooh, I think it’s even better here.

I came out of Mc Clean and I’m now heading to the ferry station. In fact, I want to go the Lawrence and it’s on the other side.

Having a look behind me, I can still see the steep slope I took to the lookout. ‘Was hard!

Here we are.

Rah! It’s now on the other side loading the cars.

I’m on the queue!

I’m on the ferry!

And finally the Lawence park that Jeff and Karen told me about. It’s around 40° now so I’m gonna stay under the shade and have my lunch.

Less than an hour later… The weather is radically changing.

And it’s pouring rain now!

One hour ago the sun was so hot! What happened?

Ouch! There is strong wind, thunder, rain, everybody is here!

Grey grey grey…
Storm video.

Finally around five o’clock the weather gots better but the wind is still blowing and right front of me…

Fortunately the storm took another direction and I can cycle in peace now.

Cloudy but the sun is not too far.

I never been on a road as small as this one since a long time now.

Hmm, looks like a perfect spot for one night.

This is a rest area but it’s forbidden to camp here, rah!

And this house is just front of it. The garden is so clean and squared. The owner might be serious and strict. I think it’s a bad idea to tey here. Let’s continue a bit more.

Nice houses around. But too much, dogs! Few minutes ago a drog came from the front and passed me so fast! Wow! Is he crazy? I understood later. He was caming back to his house to call his friend and ten second later two dogs was running behind me. At this particular moment, I can ride very fast haha :-) The first same dog approached me in a second and tried to attack my trailer. “Hey, doggy dogg, it’s aluminium, good luck”. Bloody dog! Finally he gave up after few second and I was safe, fiou!

And this is my spot for the night. It’s not a highway so it should be very quiet tonight.

The sun! Too late…
Nice shots Damien… good luck with your continuing journey
