Adelaide > Blyth (120km, 5h20)

After two days of rest (almost ;-) spent with Joy & Graham I’m leaving Adelaide with sore shoulders from yesterday haha :-) It has been really nice really, Thank you to you two! I’ve now got plenty of energy to ride and I should be in Port Augusta in three days and a half max. Today the weather is ok and the wind, as said Graham, should be a tail one.

Of course, there is the main highway going nearly straight to Port Augusta but I know I’m going to follow it for the next 3000km at least so until I can I’m off it :-)

There is lots of olive trees around and I recognized some cucumber farms.

I’m now in Mallala for a break.

And now Balaklava for lunch! Time is fast ;-)

DSCF8014

Few! I’m full and ready to ride more than 100km easily today as I’ve done 90km at 1pm.

There is still lots of clouds around but they give a good dimension of the sky sometimes.

I’m on the same road but not the same place everytime :-)

Ouuuuh, looks like it’s raining over there. This rainbow is following me since 20 minutes now!

Is it a first taste of the Stuart Highway you recon?

And after 120km, this is Blyth! I think I’m going to stop here as soon as I found a spot which should be easy I believe.

And it was! There was a small playground and some trees behind the small cinema of the town. I could pitched my tent easily :-) As soon as I finished to set up my campsite for the night a neighbour looked over his fence. I was surprised and confused so I apologized for being here but he was completely fine. His name it Matt and he proposed me straight away a room in his house. My tent was already out and I refused. He insisted and came back a minute later with a fresh beer, haha. I felt guilty to leave Joy and Graham, being in a house and the first next night being with someone else. I don’t know… I wanted rough time in Australia but it’s almost too easy haha. People are too kind! I refused the beer as well and now, thinking about this again, I should accept his deal and spend a good time with Matt and his girlfriend. Sorry guys, I was a bit confused to meet so quickly nice people again. As soon as you give me your names again, you will be in my book as you asked for haha :-)
