Today again we keep following the Ping river and tonight we will meet one of Grandin’s friend, Kondhin and his wife June. They live in Salok Bat along the highway but fortunately we were able to avoid it during 95% of today. We didn’t visit any specific places on the way but enjoy the scenery and the road.
Map.
We are going to cross the city of Nakhon Sawan very soon and won’t stop there.
Hop! We passed the noisy city and came back next to the water again.
The Ping river!
This guy is collecting flowers that did not hatched yet. People use them to make decoration as they smell very strong and nice obviously like the one Pita bought at the temple’s market few days ago.
As always, we are cycling on a tiny and quiet road. There is plenty of beautiful houses and sometimes very basic one all mixed together.
Same tiny road a little further.
Cycling through another temple.
It’s shady, let’s have a short break.
As I mentioned previously, this temple like many other is situated on the river. If you don’t use a GPS and you want to find a temple where to stay, just follow water :-)
I’m trying to get those…
… bloody chicken that run away every time I get too close. Come on! Come back!
Stop moving!
Rah! That’s one picture okay…
Waiting for Pita to take her pictures and get ready to go again.
Like the pot factory we have visited in Ratchaburi, this factory loves “tiny pots structures”.
Many fruits merchant stands along the road. Pita bought one watermelon, the women gave her a second one plus a bunch a bananas :-)
We keep on going.
Ah, the river again.
Live cycling :-)
There is not much of the growing plant around here. Not yet…
The road is narrow and there is not much traffic here, just perfect.
Hello :-)
After the “5 hours hot break”, we are back on the road. Tonight we will sleep at one of Grandin’s friend’s place. His name is June (If I’m correct).
That’s a long time ago I did not see that “typical asian scenery”. That’s how it looks for me :-) The palm trees, the rice fields, the small bamboo shed. Everything is here :-)
Close up on rice crop.
Portrait focused on the rice field.
Ah, that’s not a bamboo shed I’ve expected but it still looks good enough within its environment.
Actually, Kondhin is cycling towards us. The trick is, to avoid the highway, we are now travelling through fields on gravel roads. Even if he knows the area well, I’m not sure he is going to find us. There is many small tracks in this area.
My favourite picture of the day :-)
Hey?! I know what are these trails in the sky. These are bats! It’s strange the way they move from where we stand. These shapes don’t evolve that much and all of them move at the same speed. It like those bats are sticked on a huge transparent ribbon that slides horizontally on the background.
They must come out of this mountains.
We still did not meet Kondhin yet and we are nearly arrived. The last few kilometres must be made on the highway. In 5 minutes we are done for today!
Nice cycling day. The small pots decorations are amazing !
The water melons were small sizes.. so cute. I hope they were sweet.
