Today we are going to reach Krabi and visit a temple positioned onto the summit of a rock. The temple is called “Tiger Cave temple”. The name comes from the tiger paw prints that a monk found here. Actually, we never seen that cave… Only the summit and the sunset. After that, we kept cycling towards Ao Nang beach which is the place from where we can visit different islands around. My 10$ budget will be hardly respected.
Map.
Last night we slept in one of these rubber tree plantation. We were close to the main road but the cars did not bother me that much.
This is the place where we had breakfast. The owners were very friendly and spoke a bit of english (for once).
We have cycled about 35km and are now very close to that Tiger Cave Temple. Look, it is up there :-)
The entrance is other there.
That’s definitely the right one.
This one, no idea what it is. It looks Chinese to me.
That’s the entrance towards the lookout.
1237 steps to the top. Let’s do this.
That’s 30 less ;-)
Looking at Google Maps, this is the tiger cave temple. We are going to the lookout. This main temple seems to be not finished.
Wow, this is steep.
The view is already nice.
I’m sweating so much!
That’s the view from the platform. All the way to the sea.
On the right side (west) there is Ao Nang where we are going tonight or tomorrow.
The rock formation in Krabi is interesting here. These limestone peaks appear both on land and the water.
This is the temple at the top with a fairly big Buddha.
Who first open the Nutella pot?! Tell us!
Big Buddha sit down onto a lotus flower. a snake with five head protects him?
That was hard for this guy maybe :-) It was hard for everyone!
But the view is worth it :-)
The buddha and the city of Krabi down there.
Another Buddha view.

Everyone has to leave his shoes before going further. That a good opportunity to get a new pair or a better one at least haha.

I know, too many pictures. But everything is nice here!
The north part of the temple.
The dhammacakka flag, the symbol of Buddhism in Thailand. The Thai flag is behind.
I could not choose between this picture and the one above so I put both ;-)
The sunset is on the way.
Warm portrait colours.
Warm landscape colours.
Bright landscape colours.
This is where we sit to enjoy the sunset. A concrete platform has been started but not finished yet apparently.
Vertical panoramic.
Pinky limestone peaks.

Centered landscape with warm colours.
The sun keeps going down slowly.

Krabi by night.
Good night Buddha. This is time for us to go down stairs by night. See ya!
I would love to visit this temple. It’s very challenging for me, but the view is amazing!
