Cromwell > Alexandra > Clyde (53km, 3h)

Today we should arrived to Alexandra, the place where we would like working for a while. I really need money because I spent 4000$ more from my original budget… Aïe Aïe Aïe… I would like to arrive in Australia with some dollars at least for the first month, so definitively, I must work.

Map.

That’s the city centre of Clyde, a cute village as well.

I like the old style of the different shop like this butchery.

Or the “4 square”, a supermarket.

Alexandra is 10km far from hear and Leo spoke about a river track that we are looking for now.

But problem, A puncture!

After few minutes, it’s almost done and we can continue. Good job Leo :-)

We came to Alexandra, buy some food and ask for a work. People told us to take the road on the other side of the river toward Clyde to find all the main orchards. But today is a New Zealand day and most of the company are closed. Finally we found this campsite for 3$ per person. I like this kind if price :-) For this price, there is no shower but a freezing river! Glaglagla! And dirty toilets…

And we have a new friend, Shelby who wants play with her ball every time :-) During this evening, an old couple, the owners of this campsite invited us in their caravan to have a cup of tea. They are nice and spoke about many travellers who came in that campsite.

  1. I believed New Zeland was very more touristic country !! Campings are empty! All people sleeping under the stars ?
