Coopers beach > 90 mile beach (39km, 3h)

Youhou! I did my first free outside night :-), under the rain, the strikes and thunder :-). I didn’t sleep so well but I did it! :-) For the first time I will start travel under the rain. It’s the right moment to test all my waterproof gears. Even the horses have waterproof suit:-)

All around it’s quite flat. Some hills appears sometimes but it’s not so difficult. I’ll be fast today and I have 40km only :-).

Aaah I like this kind of indication. My first goal, cap Reinga, is getting closer!

I have finished for today. It’s 11.40am and I’m already arrived to 90 mile beach. Tomorrow, I’m going to ride on the beach to reach my next checkpoint :-). In fact, we are totally available to drive no it. Some company organise tours for tourist. The sand is very hard and flat so it should be a good way to into the far north. I could take the road but the man I met yesterday told me that it’s a boring and hilly road. And the road is narrow so it’s not so safe for a biker as me.

Rah! I have one hour to wait because it’r close now… Ok I can visit the place:-)

It’s a beautiful place here. And we can see the ocean from here. I hope it will be possible to installed my tent here but I think it’s for camping car.

Ok, well, that’s the cabins.

Fiou! It’s a very crowded place here. I think I’m alone hhahaa:-).

So, I have one hour left and nothing special to do. Ah yes! Eating! A good fresh snapper :-)

Okay, I have time so I can go to kaitaia to by the food for the next day. So long so straight…

20km to go and 20km to go back. Finally I’ve made more than 80km today.

And the supporters are always there :-)

And if I wait 5 minutes… that’s the result haha! all the family is there :-)

Come back to Ninety Mile Beach Camp and another original letter box.

The last one :-)
