Woolgoolga, John and Pauline’s garden

DSCF5326

Hello, today is a visit around John’s garden. There is some differences with a French one and we are going to see why ;-)

DSCF5327

This is lemon grass (could exist in France) and it’s possible to make tea with it. I should try.

DSCF5328

This is… heuuu… beans? (Pff, bad presentation).

DSCF5329

And a Popo tree! This one I know :-) It’s call “Papaille” in France. I discovered this with John and we used to eat this fruit when it’s still green in a salad with Zackari in Cairns.

DSCF5330

Tomatoes are growing on there sticks but it’s just the beginning.

DSCF5331

Orange tree!

DSCF5332

Lemon tree!

DSCF5334

Grape fruit tree (pamplemousse).

DSCF5335

Close up on two grape fruits. The season will be ready in June if I remember what John told me.

DSCF5336

This is a… rah a… I don’t remember…

DSCF5337

This is just the skin. Those insects live in the grown then come out and sing very loudly.

DSCF5338

Still this fruit. It’s an exotic one. Grenade? Ah no, this is a passion fruit.

DSCF5339

The tomatoes again.

DSCF5340

Banana trees!

DSCF5341

I helped John yesterday to cover this crop before the birds attack it.

DSCF5342

That thing is where each banana comes from. This bit didn’t get fertilized so it’s useless now.

DSCF5343

If I open it…

DSCF5344

We can see the tiny banana which didn’t develop themselves.

DSCF5345

They are something like 3 cm long.

DSCF5348

And they is a lot. That how a crop can weight until 90kg if all of them had been fertilized.

DSCF5352

John has four big water melon and some Pumpkin as well.

DSCF5353

From underneath the leaves.

DSCF5354

Macro leaves.

DSCF5355

A tree from behind. This the one the flower looks like vanilla flowers. John knows certainly the name but my memory is too short.

DSCF5356

And a second Popo tree full of fruits :-)

DSCF5358

And I continue my turn around the flowers. before…

DSCF5357

After…

DSCF5359

Some hot chili pepper!

DSCF5361

Green ones are less hot but still good.

DSCF5362

Another flower.

DSCF5363

Hibiscus, I know this one!

DSCF5364

Opposite blur.

DSCF5365

Nice :-)

DSCF5366

Pink.

DSCF5367

The St. Andrew’s Cross Spidersitting between classic zig-zag Stabilimenta. This one is armless (inoffencive).

DSCF5368

What is that one?

DSCF5369

And we finish the visit by the cemetery ah ah :-)
