Kings rest area > Barunga festival (34km, 1h50)

I left as early as I could this morning and arrived at the festival just when they opened the doors :-) Perfect timing! This is more the preparation day and there is not much to do but at least I paid to sleep somewhere so it’s better than nothing. The guy are repeating on the main stage and the shops are taking place around. Lucky me, this community has even a library so I’ve been there for one hour to charge my phone and laptop :-)

29km! rah, I thought it was 20km. Bah, nevermind, I’m on time and I’ve got time.

Even if this is not the Stuart Highway, this secondary road is still straight and straight…

My campsite is set up. I was talking with some kids who are camping nearby and one of them, Lilen, told me that last year all this grass was covered by tents. I presume people will arrive later today.

I’m now walking from the campsite to the main area where the show is going to happen. There is lots a green area in Barunga. The houses are spread around the place. it’s like a little village but with lots of space, especially lots of grass. It’s very nice. Apparently, Barunga is a nice community but it’s not the case for everyone.

  1. Je suppose que les bestioles bizarres, en carton et la tĂȘte en bas sont des chauve-souris non ?
