Today we went to do some snorkeling at the “Blue Lagoon”, this is how they call it. My feeling is that this area is still in a recovery stage as there is a lot of broken coral but some of them look okay. We must bargain with the only boat driver who came to us this morning. Actually a guy is charging to find the tourists and bargain for a price and then he call the driver with who he shares the money :-) Like often he told us “shut, don’t tell this price to anyone because I did a special price for you”. Yeah, yes naturally. Thanks for that ;-) We know it a game and no matter which price he will still earn some money. Keep your breath, we dive now :-)
Map.
Oups, not now like NOW. Just wait a minute. I must come back from the beginning of the day :-) We woke up early with Max this morning to bring the car to the garage. We expected to walk back the 4 km but the guy proposed us to drop us off. Well, we can’t refuse. Finally we agreed at 1.000.000 to fix the whole part.
I’m not driving this time so I’ve got 4km to take some pictures ;-)
We came back to the hotel and met a guy on the beach who wants to sell us a tour to the Blue Lagoon. Gilles? Come here and help us to bargain :-)
This is the kind of boat we are gonna use for the expedition. It might be actually this boat as this is the only one around.
Let’s have a look to this short movie so you won’t have to read the next 30 pictures down this page. (The song is not from Bali but this is all I had :-)
Here we are, nearly ready to take off!
Let’s go!
Far away, some big fuel tanker are waiting. For what? no idea.
20 minutes later, we finally reached the spot, the blue lagoon.
We will get our equipment and the adventure will start.
Under water!
Hmm, I thought it would be more colourful but it’s not too bad. There is lots of different type of coral here.
And lots of broken one as well…
Look at this big one :-)
Sorry max, wrong angle…
Max in action :-)
That’s a nice one.
There is lots of different fish as well but they a quicker than me.
Gilles :-)
Hey!
Hard life these days.
Let’s come back down.
Mum and Max on the background.
Pause :-)
The guy is feeding the fish from his boat. This is why they get so excited.
Few!
Wow! This volcano is impressive! I did not see it at the beginning.
Those guys are funny. The interesting stuff is down the water hand they are pedaling with safety jackets. Me, no, understand…
The captain is feeding the fish.
Plenty of them.
After an hour spent in the water, it’s time to leave.
Ready?
All along the coast there is hotel. after hotels. The good thing is there still is a lots of palms trees and other trees so visually it doesn’t look like a concrete barrier. It’s still has a natural landscape.
That was good, very good :-)
Back to the hotel.
And its restaurant.
And its beach side. We just have the time to dry and then we will walk to our next hotel so it will be easier for us to get the car late this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
A lounge with sea view.
We’ve got now 4 km to walk to the next hotel.
A good time to do some shopping. This shot is specialized for the ceremony.
Another shop with some, I don’t know how to call those things…
We are still walking, about halfway between the two hotels. There is some warung there just when we need :-)
We are full! We can continue to visit :-)
Wow! this hotel (not ours) is amazing. Straight to the beach.
Almost there.
Puri Oka hotel. That’s it!
Another 100m to walk.
The hotel.
The decoration.
Towards the beach.
The swimming pool.
And the beach.
We slept somewhere there last night.
We got the room 22 tonight with a fancy door :-) Real gold? Good night!
