Alice Springs, Vietnamese restaurant with the Team!

I call them “the Team” as a shortcut but their real name (from left to right) are Charles (who joined yesterday), John and Susan, Neil, Kate and Graham. Their adventure is really well prepared. It took them about 6 months to make it happen! They all come from Sydney area and know each other since school. They are going to travel together for a period of one months, if I correctly remember. Neil, the most experienced, obtained the different pass to cross the aboriginal lands when needed, choose/propose the roads they will use to reach the places they want to visit. They’ve got a lot to see! Lots of bush camp, lots of kilometres, guys, enjoy! I’m sure you will :-)

I might be completely wrong but this is the kind of trip they organised.

Last time they came here, the restaurant was packed and they were dining outside. This restaurant is 8km out of time and used to be famous. Sue was pretty sure the owner changed since last time. The original place was run by a Vietnamese guy who migrated on the “boats” during the vietnam war period. Then he started growing food in a tiny piece of land he could afford at that time and sold his products at the local Alice Springs market.

Later on, he bought more land and ended to create a restaurant using his own fresh products. The restaurant, even out of town got famous and attract lots of tourists. That means working hard and with your heart gives you back at the end. Sue does not know what happened exactly but tonight was different. The food was still delicious but the price higher for the amount per plate. Anyway, it was a great evening and I really enjoy :-) Thank you guys for all your help, stories and kindness!
